Northeast Delta Dental and Portland Sea Dogs launch second annual Brush & Floss Challenge
With the goal of turning daily dental hygiene into a fun, lifelong habit, Northeast Delta Dental, in partnership with the Portland Sea Dogs, invites children to practice good oral health care for a week, in exchange for a free ticket to a game at Delta Dental Park.
In its second year, the 2026 program addresses a critical need: making dental health engaging for the next generation. The challenge aims to curb childhood tooth decay and instill positive habits that stick long after the challenge ends.
"Our mission is to shift the conversation around dental hygiene from a daily chore to an exciting achievement for kids," said Tom Raffio, President & CEO. "When we make oral health fun and accessible, we aren't just preventing cavities today—we are setting children up for a lifetime of health and confidence."
"At the Sea Dogs, we're always looking for ways to make a positive impact beyond the game, and the Brush & Floss Challenge is a great example of that," said Jesse Scaglion, General Manager of the Portland Sea Dogs. "Partnering with Northeast Delta Dental allows us to reward healthy habits while creating lasting memories at the ballpark. We love welcoming families to Delta Dental Park and encouraging kids to take pride in their oral health through a fun experience they'll remember."
The 2026 Brush & Floss Challenge is free and open to any child from age 16 and under. Participants who brush twice and floss once daily for one week will receive their choice of one ticket to one of four games. In addition to the free tickets earned through the challenge, families can purchase additional tickets for $12 each. They will also receive a goody bag and can participate in a pre-game on-field parade.
Brush & Floss forms are available at any in-network Northeast Delta Dental dentist and can also be downloaded directly from nedelta.com or seadogs.com. The two remaining Brush & Floss games will take place on August 16, and August 22.
