Delta Dental Plan of Maine Elects Dr. Stephanie Pouzol and Jennifer Thompson as Board Directors

CONCORD, NH, August 7, 2023 – Delta Dental Plan of Maine announces the election of two new directors to its board. Dr. Stephanie Pouzol and Jennifer Thompson will both serve a three-year term that began on July 1, 2023.

Dr. Stephanie Pouzol is the co-owner/dentist at Northeast Dental Partners alongside her husband Michael Cabral. She has a strong interest in prosthodontics with a large focus of her practice devoted to denture fabrication. Additionally, she works at the Brewer Community School, treating students ranging from Pre-K to the eighth grades. Dr. Pouzol also has a passion for caring for individuals with special needs and ultimately it is her goal to make patients of all ages and abilities feel comfortable at the dentist. 

She was awarded: a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Mass., where she received the Award for Clinical Excellence in Geriatric Dentistry; and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on healthcare administration from Stonehill College, Easton, Mass, achieving Deans List at both colleges.

As Executive Director at National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Maine, Jennifer Thompson is responsible for providing leadership to the board of directors, staff, affiliates and volunteers, as well as overseeing fundraising and strategic planning. Prior to joining NAMI Maine, Thompson was the Interim Executive Director at Health Equity Alliance, leading and directing the development of a short- and long-term business plan.

She received her Master of Science in Education from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC and her Bachelor of Arts from Lenoir-Rhyne College, Hickory, NC. Thompson was awarded the Gen2Gen Innovation Fellowship by Encore.org and the Healthy Communities Fellowship by the American Health Association and was included in the “40 under 40” list by Central Penn Business.
