Delta Dental Plan of Vermont Elects New Board Trustee
4/28/2021
BURLINGTON, VT.: Delta Dental Plan of Vermont announces the election of a new board trustee, Wanda R. Heading-Grant, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP, of Colchester.
Heading-Grant is the first vice provost for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and chief diversity officer at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also holds a faculty appointment as distinguished service professor in the CMU Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
She enjoyed a 30-year tenure at the University of Vermont, where she served most recently as its vice president of DEI, reporting to the President and advising senior leadership on essential policies, programs and strategies to achieve inclusive excellence and to ensure that all who were part of the university community received support and development opportunities.
Because Heading-Grant has established programs and policies fundamental to the advancement of inclusive excellence throughout her years of leadership, Vermont Women in Higher Education established a new award, the Dr. Wanda Heading-Grant Award for Justice, in her name.
