Foundation Awards Grants to Vermont Oral Health Programs


The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation recently awarded grants totaling nearly $44,000 to Vermont oral health programs. The Foundation supports organizations and initiatives that provide oral health education and dental care to children and others in need in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Grant Recipients:

  • Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, N.H., received $4,472 for its Upper Valley Smiles school dental program, serving New Hampshire and Vermont, towards the expansion of its program into the Ottauquechee School.
  • Open Door Clinic, Community Health Services of Addison County, Middlebury, received $6,520 for dental equipment and software. This clinic serves the under and uninsured, as well as migrant farm workers, restaurant, and small business employees in the Middlebury area.
  • Vermont Head Start/Early Head Start, received $32,000 to support its state-wide Tooth Tutor program.
  • Vermont Dental Hygienists Association received $1,000 for their annual meeting
