Foundation Awards Grants to Maine Oral Health Programs


The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation recently awarded grants totaling more than $28,000 to Maine oral health programs. This is just one of many ways that Northeast Delta Dental supports organizations and initiatives that provide oral health education and dental care to children and others in need in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Grant Recipients:

  • Aroostook County Action Program, Presque Isle, Maine, received $2,500 for its oral health prevention program in six schools.
  • Catholic Charities Maine – Jessie Albert Dental and Orthodontic Center, Bath, received $5,000 to update the center’s dental equipment.
  • Bright Smiles Clinic, Portland, received $2,500 to support this volunteer clinic which serves children whose families are both uninsured and unable to pay for dental services.
  • Community Clinical Services, Inc., Lewiston, received $5,200 for a portable dental chair to be used for its pediatric services.
  • Kennebec Valley Dental Coalition, Waterville, received $2,000 to support its community dental program.
  • Kennebec Valley Family Dentistry, Augusta, received $5,000 toward the purchase of an autoclave and stool to increase efficiency in treating patients.
  • Oasis Dental Clinic, Brunswick, received $2,000 toward the cost of dental equipment and supplies.
  • Saving Smiles, received $2,000 to support their dental van.
  • Sheepscot Valley RSU #12, Somerville, received $2,000 and dental supplies for its oral health program.
