Concord, NH: In response to growing scientific evidence demonstrating connections between oral and whole body health, Northeast Delta Dental is expanding the scope of several standard benefit features. These benefits will be automatically included in its voluntary, small group, and individual products. Groups of 100 or more employees will be given the option of adding these benefits for a small rate adjustment. These benefits are currently being offered to new groups, and to existing groups upon annual renewal.
The added cleanings will be most advantageous to at-risk patients—those with periodontal conditions who are pregnant, have heart disease, or are diabetic, for example. Their availability will also benefit patients who require extra preventive treatment to maintain oral health.
