The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits (The Center) is pleased to announce an award of $5,000 from Northeast Delta Dental for the creation of a Nonprofit Resource Platform designed to provide nonprofits with an abundance of online operational resources, training modules and cost-saving programs.

Burlington, VT – The Vermont State Dental Society (VSDS) received a $10,000 grant from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation to continue its Diabetes and Oral Health Program (DOHP) that was piloted in 2008.

The Salem Children’s Dental Network, operated by the Greater Derry Oral Health Collaborative Corporation (GDOHCC), received a $ 5,000 grant from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation to support oral health education and preventive dental treatment for children in the six Salem, New Hampshire elementary schools.

Biddeford, Maine—The Biddeford Free Clinic (“the Clinic”) announced today they have received a $5,000 grant from Northeast Delta Dental Foundation in support of the Clinic's new Dental Wellness Center.

Essex Junction, Vermont:  A grant awarded by the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation has made it possible for the Center for Technology, Essex Dental Assisting program to purchase 16 silicone oral health educational tooth molds to be used as a practical component to enhance the Dental Materials and Tooth Morphology courses for dental assistants.

A gift of $25,000 has been presented to Crotched Mountain Foundation by Concord-based Northeast Delta Dental in support of construction of its Accessible Trails, the centerpiece of the Mountain’s Accessible Outdoor Recreation Program.

MANCHESTER, NH - - Northeast Delta Dental has pledged $15,000 a year for three years to support the expansion of a mentorship program in the five at-risk Manchester public elementary schools.  The 2010 contribution was presented to Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas and City Year New Hampshire this fall. The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation recently awarded the Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center $5,000 to plan and implement the Oral Health Integration into Primary Healthcare project for the Wentworth-Douglass Physician Corporation (WDPC) medical practices. The Northeast Delta Dental is co-sponsoring this project with the Patterson Dental Foundation. WDPC practices will be one of the first groups in New Hampshire to embrace the integration of oral health into primary healthcare.

The New Hampshire Diabetes Coalition Public Education Work Group was the recent recipient of a grant of nearly $5,000. It is one of three work groups established to help address the work of the New Hampshire Action Plan for Diabetes. Representatives of healthcare organizations, individuals with diabetes, and other volunteers come together with the task of expanding the public’s knowledge about Diabetes.

University of New England (UNE) announces the lead gift of $2.3 million from Northeast Delta Dental in support of the UNE College of Dental Medicine.

During the planning process of building a new dental center in Biddeford, Community Dental received a $100,000 grant from Delta Dental Plan of Maine. The grant funded dental equipment for the Biddeford Dental Health Center that opened six months ago in the Robert Dodge Business Park at 57 Barra Rd, Suite 3.

Northeast Delta Dental Foundation awarded $7,500 to the Greater Nashua Dental Connection (GNDC) in support of its school dental program, which provides oral health services to children from 18 area schools. Thirty local dentists volunteer their time at the clinic to provide checkups for uninsured students. With the support of school nurses and health administrators, the clinic serves approximately 30-50 students per month, depending on the needs of the school.
