The Northeast Delta Dental is co-sponsoring this project with the Patterson Dental Foundation. WDPC practices will be one of the first groups in New Hampshire to embrace the integration of oral health into primary healthcare.

]]> Mon, 12 Jul 2010 00:00:00 GMT Northeast Delta Dental Foundation awarded $7,500 to the Greater Nashua Dental Connection (GNDC) in support of its school dental program, which provides oral health services to children from 18 area schools. Thirty local dentists volunteer their time at the clinic to provide checkups for uninsured students. With the support of school nurses and health administrators, the clinic serves approximately 30-50 students per month, depending on the needs of the school.

In early 1997, determined to stay in Concord, Tom Raffio, President & CEO, searched for a suitable piece of property. Among the many possible land and lease options throughout Concord, Raffio toured an unappealing slice of land on Commercial Street with Jim Corrigan, commercial real estate broker in Concord. Despite the dilapidated buildings, evidence of illegal dumping, and overgrown fields, he immediately saw its potential as a prime location to build Northeast Delta Dental's new corporate building and was confident that if it was built on this site, others would follow.

As part of Delta Dental's Green Initiative, employees were invited to bring in recyclable items from home including fluorescent lamps, batteries, computer monitors, printers, televisions, VCRs, and air conditioners. By the end of the day, Delta Dental employees had recycled more than 4,000 pounds of these materials.
